It’s not the usual 78-card deck, but 54 cards + 2 BLANKS.

Based primarily upon Chaldean Astrology and Czechoslovakian Folklore, the Prager Tarot deck contains fifty-four cards instead of the seventy-eight cards commonly found in traditional tarots. This shortened version of the tarot is due to the elimination of twenty-four pip, or numbered, cards and has its roots in the European tarot or tarock packs that flourished during the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries when the game of tarock was popular throughout Austria, Bohemia, Germany, Hungary, France, Switzerland and other European countries.

The colorful designs of the twenty-two trump or Major Arcana cards in the Prager Tarot deck follow the more traditional tarot symbols. The thirty-two suited or so-called Minor Arcana cards contain the traditional four suits of swords, batons, cups and coin. Each suit contains the customary four court figures of king, queen, knight and servant (page) accompanied by the 4, 3, 2 and ace.
