This version is way easier to use than the original one because of its size. The Original is I believe for collectors, cards are very big and became extremely expensive.

An extraordinary journey into the history of French tarot and divination.

First introduced to readers in the early twentieth century through the French esoteric magazine La Vie Mystérieuse, Le Tarot de la Reyne is a remarkable historical tarot whose imagery evokes the mysterious world of Renaissance France.

Associated through its historical narrative with Catherine de Médicis, Nostradamus, astrology, and the divinatory traditions of the French court, this unusual deck occupies a distinctive place in the history of French cartomancy.

This Original Limited Edition is a faithful reproduction of the historical deck as it appeared in 1911.

Unlike the modern restored edition, which presents carefully restored illustrations, this special edition preserves the original appearance of the cards, including their period artwork, characteristic colours, typography, and visual details.

The original dimensions have also been maintained, allowing collectors to rediscover the tarot in a form remarkably close to its early twentieth-century presentation.

Each deck is individually wrapped by hand in antique-style paper and tied with natural twine, recreating the atmosphere of a precious historical object.

Created by renowned Spanish painter Miguel Ángel López Melgarejo, this deck is the fruit of his mystical period, which began in 1983 and deeply influenced all his artistic work.

Each of the 36 cards is a haunting vision of human divinity — painted in black and white watercolour, bordered in silver, and infused with an air of sacred eroticism and transcendence. The imagery evokes initiation, revelation, and freedom — archetypes of the soul’s awakening within the Mystery Order of the Ancients.

This limited-edition tarot, produced by Divine Arts, bridges fine art and esoteric philosophy, offering not only a divinatory tool but a meditative key to what the artist calls the Book of Life.

🔹 Artist: Miguel Ángel López Melgarejo
🔹 Publisher: Divine Arts (Spain)
🔹 Year: c. 2020
🔹 Cards: 36
🔹 Technique: Watercolour & Ink
🔹 Languages: English & Spanish
🔹 Dimensions: 8 × 15 cm
🔹 Condition: Brand new – sealed (the opened deck pictured is my personal copy)

🪶 Collector’s Note

Melgarejo, known for his mastery of the “single-stroke drawing” technique, brings a raw spiritual intensity to his compositions. The Ancient Tarot occupies a unique place between surrealist art and mystical initiation — a bridge between the flesh and the divine.

Uncommon and visually powerful, it’s a must-have for collectors of modern visionary tarots and Spanish esoteric art editions.

Authentic second-generation Le Tarot d'Argolance, created by French artist Pierrick Pinot and handcrafted in France in 1984.
Inspired by the medieval symbolism of Oswald Wirth, this remarkable tarot is far more than a reinterpretation of a classic deck. Pinot developed an entirely personal artistic vision, combining traditional tarot imagery with his own symbolic language and artisanal craftsmanship.

Published in a strictly limited edition of approximately 999 numbered copies, each deck was individually signed and numbered by the artist. This example is No. 327, as shown on the original numbered authentication card.
Housed in its original handcrafted wooden presentation box, this second-generation edition has become particularly desirable since the original wooden cases are no longer produced.

Specifications

🔹 Artist: Pierrick Pinot
🔹 Country: France
🔹 Year: 1984
🔹 Edition: Second Generation
🔹 Limited Edition: No. 327 of approximately 999 copies
🔹 Cards: 22 Major Arcana + 2 extra cards (presentation card + signed & numbered certificate)
🔹 Original handcrafted wooden presentation box included.

Exceptional Printing Process

Each card was produced using several traditional printing techniques:
🔹 Full-color artwork enhanced with hand-applied gold silkscreen detailing.
🔹 Card backs printed in elegant black and metallic gold silkscreen.
🔹 Double satin varnish applied on both sides for durability.
🔹 Entirely handcrafted production.

🪶 Collector's Note

The unusual name Argolance evolved from Pinot's original title Argoland, a poetic fusion inspired by both the legendary voyage of the Argonauts in search of the Golden Fleece and the ancient secret language known as argot, once associated with wanderers, beggars, and thieves.

For Pierrick Pinot, tarot represented both:

• a symbolic vessel capable of carrying the seeker toward inner illumination;
• and a hidden language whose mysteries reveal themselves only through sincere study and practice.

The project began after Pinot discovered Oswald Wirth's "Tarot des Imagiers du Moyen Âge" in 1978. What started as a personal redraw of Wirth's deck gradually evolved into one of the most distinctive handcrafted French tarot editions of the twentieth century.

The deck is referenced in:

📚 Stuart R. Kaplan — Encyclopedia of Tarot, Volume III, page 75.

Le Tarot d'Argolance is considered one of the finest handcrafted French tarot productions of the 1980s. Its extremely limited production, artisan manufacturing process, original wooden presentation case, and direct connection to the symbolic tradition of Oswald Wirth make it highly sought after by collectors of rare tarot decks and bibliophiles. Complete numbered examples such as this one rarely appear on the market.

Today it is appreciated not only by tarot collectors but also by enthusiasts of Pacific art, colonial-era iconography, and uncommon regional playing cards.

A rare and highly unusual historical tarot deck published in France in 1987 to commemorate the Millennium of the Capetian Dynasty (987–1987).

Created by French artists and cardmakers Gilles and Anne-Marie Hipeau, this remarkable deck was issued as part of the official celebrations marking one thousand years since the election of Hugues Capet, founder of the Capetian royal line that ruled France for centuries.

Rather than depicting traditional tarot figures, the deck reimagines the tarot through French royal history. Thirty kings and queens, alongside emblematic historical figures such as Joan of Arc and Eleanor of Aquitaine, replace the conventional court and major arcana characters while preserving the structure of a complete 78-card tarot deck.

This copy is No. 75 from the limited "dessin" edition of only 140 numbered examples.

Printed on Arches Pure Rag Vellum Paper (Papier Vélin Chiffon Arches Pur), one of France's most prestigious fine-art papers traditionally used for printmaking, engraving, and watercolor.

Produced according to the methods of the old French master cardmakers, the cards were printed on laminated paper stock and issued in two versions:

• 140 numbered "dessin" editions (black-and-white)
• 50 numbered and signed color editions

The Major Arcana and court figures are associated with significant personalities from French history, including Hugues Capet, Saint Louis (Louis IX), Philippe le Bel, Catherine de Médicis, Louis XIV, Marie-Antoinette, and many others.

Printed on luxurious Arches rag paper and conceived as both a historical study and an artistic object, the deck occupies a unique place between tarot, genealogy, and French royal history. Examples rarely appear on the market, particularly complete and uncolored copies such as this one.

🪶 Collector's Note

Unlike conventional tarot decks, it was conceived as a genuine astrological divination system, incorporating planets, zodiac signs, the Ascendant, and other key elements of traditional astrology.

Complete examples are seldom encountered today, especially outside specialized occult collections. Its combination of historical importance, astrological content, and period artwork makes it a highly desirable acquisition for collectors of French esoterica, astrology, and early divinatory card systems.

About This Edition

Unlike ordinary tarot decks, this set was created as a cultural and artistic object linked to a unique immersive performance exploring the symbolism of the Major Arcana. Visitors to Forte Sperone encountered actors embodying each archetype of the tarot in a dramatic journey through the historic fortress.

The reported limitation to just 27 copies suggests that this edition may have been reserved for collaborators, sponsors, or a very small circle of participants, making it extraordinarily scarce.

🪶 Collector’s Note

A truly exceptional piece at the crossroads of tarot history, Italian theater, and fine art. Combining the visionary world of Emanuele Luzzati with the experimental spirit of Teatro della Tosse, this complete 1991 set stands among the rarest and most unusual tarot-related artifacts to surface on the market.

For collectors of Emanuele Luzzati, theatrical ephemera, and historically significant tarot editions, this is a museum-worthy acquisition.

Step into the psychedelic mysticism of the early 1970s with the Starmaiden Tarot, a visually striking and highly symbolic deck born from the avant-garde circles of German producer Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser.

Deeply influenced by the counterculture era, cosmic consciousness, and esoteric exploration, this deck embodies the spirit of a time when music, mysticism, and altered states of perception merged into a single artistic language.

Created around the enigmatic figure of “The Starmaiden” — inspired by Gille Lettmann — the deck channels celestial femininity, intuition, and higher awareness through bold, radiant imagery reminiscent of underground magazines and glam-era aesthetics. Think Bowie meets cosmic tarot.

This edition is a faithful facsimile reproduction printed in France, preserving the vivid colors and hypnotic geometry of the original 1970s Sternenmädchens Wahrsagespiel.

This exceptional tarot deck is a 1960 bicentenary re-edition of the legendary Tarot de Marseille by Nicolas Conver, faithfully reproduced by Camoin from the original 1760 woodblocks.

Le Grand Tarot de Belline was drawn by Edmond Billaudot (1829-1881) who was also known as Magus Edmond, a great 19th century mage. He used it to unveil the mysteries of the future to the Emperor Napoleon III.

It superficially resembles the Tarot de Marseille, but differs from it in time, design and symbolism, especially the numeral cards. The deck bequeaths ideas from a succession of well-known 18th & 19th century occultists and incorporates kabalistic, astrological and Egyptian influences, as well as the philosophical musings of Edmond Billaudot himself. A condensed cartomantic interpretation is hand-written on each card along with esoteric symbols and glyphs which facilitate the process of abstraction.

The deck is using ideas from Etteilla, Éliphas Leví, and Paul Christian. Each card is divided into four sections, upper and lower bands, and upper and lower fields. Written on the upper band is Leví's mundane kabalistic letter for the Majors, the Gematria number and Paul Christian astrological correspondences. The Red Key-Words are the same as in Jeu Du Grand Etteilla. The bottom band of the card contains the card name, the bottom field of the card contains a proverb specific to the card.

Contains the full deck of Rider Waite cards taken from the drawings of Pamela Colman Smith, who, in 1910, worked with Arthur Edward Waite (leading member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, along with Aleister Crowley) to create this 'rectified' tarot pack. 'Strength' and 'Justice' transposed the 8th and 9th Major Arcana cards. Plus two blank spare cards.

Much of the success of this ofter reprinted tarot deck is down to the designs by the American artist, Smith, who grew up in Jamaica and went to London, where she became a member of the Order of the Golden Dawn.

The designs offer a continuous narrative through the sequence of cards in each of the four suits.
