Le Psycho-Tarot originally created by WM J Hurley & J A Horler in 1974
This offering is for the 3rd edition Deck & booklet revised by Dr. Denise Roussel in 1993. It is a vintage collectible with some wearing on the box only. The cards and booklet are in very, very good condition.
Result of a team effort (Jack and Rae Hurley + John Horler, Canadian artist), created in 1973 in California, this very original tarot of 78 cards, only in black and white, is based on the tarot of Marseilles while being very far away.
Based on the concepts of Gestalt, transactional analysis and psychosynthesis, it was thought out, designed and designed to be a psychological tool. It is the perfect revelation tool for, during a projective draw, achieving a better understanding of oneself, of others and of one's environment.
It also has the particularity of offering, in addition to the usual 78 cards, a black card and a white card, shadow and light, sorts of jokers that the consultant can interpret in complete freedom. It is a game that leads us irresistibly towards our own depths and particularly favors the expression of our unconscious. The designs of the cards are drawn from the archetypes which constitute the very basis of our thought and our behavior as Westerners (Jungian inspiration).

A rare antique French puzzle, Le Quart d’Heure de Rabelais (also known as Les Bourgeois Punis), produced in Paris around 1895–1910.
This charming logic puzzle was published by Jeux et Jouets Français and features beautifully printed, colourful wooden tiles depicting students and bourgeois characters.
The goal of the game is to arrange the men around a “table” so that the last one (or last two) must pay the bill — a humorous nod to the French expression “le quart d’heure de Rabelais”, meaning “the moment when it’s time to pay”.
The set includes all original tiles, the printed instruction sheet, and the original box with its period lithographed cover. A beautiful example of early French recreational mathematics and storytelling.
🔹 Publisher: Les Jeux et Jouets Français(JJF), Paris
🔹 Year: c. 1895–1910
🔹 Contents: 12 illustrated tiles + original instructions
🔹 Box: Original, with illustrated lid (visible wear as pictured)
🔹 Condition: Tiles very good for age; box worn but solid; instructions included
🔹 Type: Early mechanical/logic puzzle
A very rare and highly collectible French puzzle from the Belle Époque.
🪶 Collector’s Note
Antique French puzzles from the Belle Époque almost never survive with all pieces and the original instruction sheet.
This edition of Le Quart d’Heure de Rabelais is especially sought-after due to:
• its connection to the literary legend Rabelais
• its link to the famous Josephus problem, referenced by Ahrens (1901)
• mention in Hoffmann’s Puzzles and in Slocum & Botermans
• its charming lithographic artwork

Blending folklore, mysticism, and ritualistic elements, it reflects a period where esoteric booklets were widely circulated in France, often in small print runs. Its raw and direct tone makes it a fascinating artifact for collectors of occult ephemera.

A remarkable and rare tarot deck conceived and illustrated by Alain Bocher, first published in 1982 by Alréa, Rennes.
Le Tarot de la Réa is both initiatic and divinatory, an artistic meditation on the hidden mechanisms of fate. Bocher’s stylized figures — surreal, angular, and deeply symbolic — embody the alchemical union of form and spirit. Each card resonates with philosophical reflection, echoing the quote printed inside:
“Il y a plus de choses dans le ciel et sur la terre que n’en rêve votre philosophie.” — Shakespeare (Hamlet)
This 78-card deck, drawn “selon la tradition,” reinterprets the Marseille archetypes through a modern spiritual lens.
Printed in France on thick matte cardstock, presented in its original two-part black box with gold interior and red ribbons.
🔹 Creator: Alain Bocher
🔹 Publisher: Alréa / Les Presses Bretonnes, 1982
🔹 Country: France
🔹 Complete 78 cards (22 Major + 56 Minor Arcana)
🔹 Card size: 7.25 × 13 cm
🔹 Booklet in French included
🔹 Condition: Box shows light wear; cards near mint / unused
🪶 Collector’s Note
A true hidden gem of French esotericism, Le Tarot de la Réa (1982) by Alain Bocher merges the Marseille tradition with surrealist symbolism. Its flowing, abstract figures and radiant colors reveal a deeply introspective vision of the Tarot — poetic, initiatory, and timeless.
Printed in a small independent run by Alréa in Rennes, this rare edition embodies the spirit of 20th-century artisanal tarots — intimate, philosophical, and crafted for seekers rather than the masses.
✨ Out of print and extremely hard to find — a true collector’s gem.

Title: The Bohemian Tarot
Publication Date: May 2007
Publisher: Dangles
Pages: 400
Language: French
Le Tarot des Bohémiens is one of the foundational texts of Western occultism, written by Papus (Dr. Gérard Encausse). First published in 1889, this monumental work presents the Tarot as the absolute key to the occult sciences, uniting divination, Hermetic philosophy, Kabbalah, alchemy, numerology, and symbolism into a coherent system.
In this modern Dangles edition (2007), Papus’ complete text is preserved in French, including his detailed explanations of the Major and Minor Arcana, complex symbolic correspondences, esoteric diagrams, and analytical tables. The book explores Tarot not merely as a tool of divination, but as a universal philosophical system revealing the laws governing matter, spirit, and transformation.
A cornerstone for serious students of Tarot, esotericism, and Hermetic traditions, this volume remains essential reading for anyone seeking to understand Tarot beyond fortune-telling.
🪶 Collector’s Note
Le Tarot des Bohémiens is universally regarded as Papus’ magnum opus and one of the most influential Tarot books ever written. Frequently cited alongside Éliphas Lévi and Stanislas de Guaita, this work shaped the modern occult revival and the philosophical interpretation of Tarot in the 20th century.
Though reissued, it remains highly sought after by collectors, scholars, and advanced practitioners for its depth, rigor, and historical importance. A true pillar of esoteric literature and an indispensable reference for any serious occult library.
€209.00 EUR
A remarkable and highly collectible early printing of one of the most influential works ever written on tarot and Western esotericism.
Written by Papus, founder of the modern Martinist movement and one of the foremost occult scholars of the Belle Époque, Le Tarot des Bohémiens is widely regarded as a cornerstone of modern tarot studies. First published in 1889, the work was extensively revised and expanded into the celebrated “Édition définitive” of 1911, incorporating Papus’ mature reflections on symbolism, Kabbalah, numerology, and the tarot as the “absolute key to occult science.”
This copy is an early printing by Éditions Dangles, the historic Parisian publisher that preserved and reissued many of Papus’ most important works. Although printed later, likely between 1925 and 1935, it faithfully reproduces the complete text and layout of the definitive 1911 edition.

A well-preserved copy in its original printed wrappers.
Historical Importance
Few books have had a greater influence on modern tarot than Le Tarot des Bohémiens. Papus synthesized occult traditions from the Kabbalah, Pythagorean numerology, Christian mysticism, and Hermetic philosophy, presenting the tarot as a universal symbolic language and a practical initiatory system. His ideas deeply shaped twentieth-century tarot scholarship and continue to inspire readers and researchers today.
🪶 Collector’s Note
While not a true 1911 first printing, this is an authentic early Dangles issue of the definitive edition and remains highly sought after by collectors of tarot, occult literature, and French esoterica. Copies in original wrappers with unopened pages are increasingly scarce and offer a tangible connection to the formative period of modern tarot history.

Le Tarot Divinatoire by Papus (Dr. Gérard Encausse) is one of the most influential and foundational works in the history of tarot and Western esotericism. First published in the late 19th century, this classic reference deciphers the symbolic, kabbalistic, and astronomical structure of the Tarot, presenting it as a complete divinatory and initiatory system.
The Papus Tarot is available HERE.
This volume provides the exact meaning and value of each of the 78 Tarot cards, going far beyond simple fortune-telling. Papus explains how the Tarot functions as a universal key, capable of addressing practical questions of daily life as well as deeper spiritual and metaphysical inquiries.
A remarkable feature of this edition is that each of the 78 cards is illustrated within the book and designed to be cut out and mounted on cardboard, allowing the reader to reconstruct a complete Tarot deck directly from the pages—an approach that reflects the pedagogical and initiatory spirit of early occult teachings.

Long ago there lived a king of great renown named Nissanka. His clairvoyance allowed him to solve many puzzles. His wisdom was transmitted to him by a magic book given to him by Shandra, the magician. A very special tarot that contained only images filled with colors, these magical images allowed visions of the future.
Illustrated during the naps of an angel... and by Maria MESTRE. "The colors exist only by the radiation of the light from which they come. They are reflected on all things from which they reveal their appearance to us. But only a certain number of them are allowed to us to see and understand."
The Roy Nissanka tarot is a divinatory set based on the myths of the medieval Sri Lankan king Nissanka. In the major cards you will find magical scenes related to Sri Lankan culture.

Le Tarot Mystique is a rare and deeply symbolic tarot deck created and painted by Alexandre Mourouzi, a singular figure in late-20th-century Swiss tarot art. Conceived in 1978 and published in 1983 by Samjac SA (Lausanne), this deck stands apart for its introspective, spiritual, and highly artistic approach.
Unlike standard 78-card tarot decks, Le Tarot Mystique focuses exclusively on the 22 Major Arcana, presented as an initiatory path structured into three successive cycles of evolution. Each card represents a stage of inner transformation, blending universal symbolism, spiritual philosophy, and Mourouzi’s distinctive painterly language.
Hand-painted artwork gives the deck a meditative, sometimes unsettling atmosphere, far removed from traditional Tarot de Marseille iconography. This is a tarot designed not for fortune-telling alone, but for contemplation, psychological exploration, and symbolic study.
This copy belongs to the first limited edition, numbered and hand-signed by the artist, with a total print run of 2,000 copies only—now scarce on the collector’s market, especially when complete.
