Published in Italy in 1981, this striking tarot deck is a hidden gem for collectors.
Known as Gli Antichi Tarocchi (The Ancient Tarot), it is sometimes referred to by enthusiasts as the Glass Tarot due to its luminous artwork. Each image is created in a mosaic / stained-glass style, with bold outlines and rich jewel-like colors that give the impression of medieval windows brought to life.
Unlike many decks of its era that followed the classic Tarot de Marseille or Rider-Waite pattern, this edition took a bold artistic direction:
The Major Arcana are illustrated with powerful stylized figures, their faces and forms resembling ancient sculptures or Byzantine mosaics.
The Minor Arcana are equally detailed, with both pips and illustrated scenes reflecting the same stained-glass inspiration.
What makes this set especially impressive is its large card size (12 × 17 cm), making every card feel like a miniature artwork, almost like holding a painted panel in your hands. Because of its unusual format and distinctive style, it was never mass-produced in large numbers, which explains why it is today considered very rare and highly desirable among tarot collectors.
🔹 Complete deck of 78 cards
🔹 Oversized format: approx. 12 × 17 cm
🔹 Published in Italy, 1981
🔹 Unique stained-glass inspired artwork
🔹 Box shows wear from age and storage (as pictured)
🔹 Cards in very good condition, except for a couple with minor signs of use
🪶 Collector’s Note
Gli Antichi Tarocchi occupies a unique place in late-20th-century tarot production. Its stained-glass aesthetic, oversized format, and departure from canonical tarot systems make it a standout among Italian decks of the period. Complete sets with original box are increasingly scarce and highly sought after by serious tarot collectors.

According to the accompanying booklet, this edition dates from 1961, making it one of the earliest Grimaud-issued Oracle Belline sets. Unlike the standard retail versions, this luxurious oversized black-and-gold presentation box appears to have been produced in very limited quantities, likely for promotional or special distribution purposes.
The elegant box features gold detailing, a fitted interior, and dimensions of approximately 10.5 × 9.5 × 7 cm, making it substantially larger than the standard Oracle Belline packaging.
The complete Oracle Belline deck is included and remains in very good condition, making this a remarkable opportunity for collectors of Belline, French cartomancy, and vintage occult memorabilia.

This delightful brain teaser features precision-cut wooden geometric pieces housed in their original illustrated box, accompanied by the original printed solution sheet.
Inspired by early tangram-style puzzles, La Cocotte challenges players to reassemble a stylized paper fortune-teller shape (“cocotte”) using only the provided wooden pieces. It’s a wonderful blend of elegance, logic, and timeless entertainment.
Details:
Title: La Cocotte – Nouveau Casse-Tête

Materials: Wood pieces, printed paper box, original instruction sheet
Condition: Very good vintage condition; slight wear on box corners consistent with age

A rare and charming piece of puzzle history — ideal as a gift or a conversation-starting addition to your vintage collection. Perfect for collectors of antique toys, lovers of vintage French ephemera, or anyone seeking a unique decorative curiosity for their shelf or game table.
Here’s a bit of context:
- The typography and art style (Art Nouveau influences and playful hand-drawn lettering) are consistent with printed materials from the 1880s to early 1900s.
- These kinds of boxed wooden puzzles became quite popular in France during that period, influenced by the rise of recreational mathematics and puzzles in newspapers and parlors.
- The signature “JFL” on the solution sheet is associated with Jean-François Léon, a designer or printer active during that era, which further supports the 1890s–1900s origin.
So, while an exact publication year might not be printed on the box, it's safe to place La Cocotte around circa 1890–1905.

Its simplicity hides remarkable depth — making it one of the most efficient intuitive systems ever produced in France.

A museum-worthy quartet uniting the splendor of Versailles, the nobility of the Golden Fleece, and the romantic spirit of 1900s Paris.
A rare and playful collector’s set from Waddington’s Playing Cards, combining two themed decks celebrating iconic pop-art imagery and British design.
The first deck, “Rum” (1981), features Alan Peach’s dripping glass illustration — bright, summery, and unmistakably retro.
The second, “Coke” (1970), reproduces Michael English’s famous crushed-bottle-cap artwork, a symbol of 1970s advertising art and graphic innovation.
Both decks are housed in a burgundy velvet presentation box stamped with the Waddington’s royal warrant, making this edition an elegant fusion of luxury and pop culture nostalgia.
🔹 Publisher: Waddington’s Playing Cards Co. Ltd., England
🔹 Themes: Rum (Alan Peach, 1981) & Coke (Michael English, 1970)
🔹 Card size: approx. 2 ¼″ × 3 ½″ (5.7 × 8.9 cm)
🔹 Set includes 2 complete decks (standard 52 + Jokers)
🔹 Velvet presentation box included
🔹 Condition: Cards in very good condition, shuffle smoothly; box shows light wear consistent with age - 1 deck is still in blister.
🪶 Collector’s Note
A striking blend of fine English craftsmanship and 1970s pop-art design, this Rum & Coke set captures Waddington’s flair for collectible novelty decks.
The collaboration with artists Alan Peach and Michael English gives each pack its own visual identity — making this double-deck set a perfect piece for lovers of vintage advertising art, British design, or retro cocktail culture.

A fascinating and rare early-2000s oracle from Lo Scarabeo, the Rune Cards Oracle blends Nordic mythology, ancient runic symbolism, and painterly epic imagery. First published between 2002 and 2003 in collaboration with Ediciones Orbis, this edition has long been out of print and is now sought after by collectors of divinatory and mythological decks.
🔹 Publisher: Lo Scarabeo / Ediciones Orbis
🔹 Publication: 2002–2003 — First Edition (OOP)
🔹 Contents: 32 illustrated rune cards
🔹 Card size: approx. 9.8 × 6.2 cm
🔹 Guidebook: PDF in English / French / Italian (sent upon purchase)
🔹 Condition:
• Cards: Like New
• Box: Mild shelf wear (see photos)
🔹 Authenticity: 100% original 2003 printing — not a reprint
🪶 Collector’s Note
This early Lo Scarabeo rune oracle is considered one of the most atmospheric and artistically accomplished rune decks of the early 2000s.
Printed for only a short period as part of the Orbis esoteric collection, it has become difficult to locate complete and in good condition. Its blend of classical illustration and rune magic makes it a favorite among collectors of mythic and historical oracle systems.
Because early Orbis editions were distributed mainly in Southern Europe and produced in limited quantities, surviving sets — especially well-preserved ones — are increasingly rare on the market.
