The Piatnik Wien Tarot, also known as the Tarot Pointner after its artist Rudolph Pointner, was first published in Austria in 1974 (Nr. 2825) by Piatnik.
This tarot was a remarkable discovery, standing out for its brightly colored illustrations and extraordinary textured patterns. The artwork combines partly historical and partly modern Tarot scenes, with major arcana rendered in vivid, childlike abstraction and minor arcana decorated with geometric backgrounds.
