Unlike standard playing cards, Erna Droesbeke completely reimagined the court cards using artwork inspired by medieval and Norman-era imagery. Drawing upon the artistic traditions of Flanders, she incorporated influences from the miniature tapestries and decorative arts for which the Flemish region became famous.

Each card carries both playing card and oracle meanings, while the included booklet explains the symbolism and interpretation of every card. The Joker cards illustrate special layouts designed specifically for divinatory readings.
