This 1993 Grimaud edition of the 50 Cartas Españolas continues the classic Spanish-suited tradition, yet with the refined French precision characteristic of the Maison Grimaud — a master cardmaker in Paris since 1848.

The deck retains all the emblematic Spanish suits — Cups (Copas), Coins (Oros), Clubs (Bastos), and Swords (Espadas) — rendered in bold, elegant lines and bright primary colors.
Unlike the older Ducale Catalanes “Dos Écossais Axé” (which embodies a regional French heritage with its tartan back and heavy plastic coating), this Grimaud version reflects a cleaner, more modern aesthetic, optimized for smooth handling and play.
