A rare and surreal tarot deck by Grimaud, The Eye of Myrddin (L’Œil de Myrddin) offers a futuristic and dreamlike approach to divination.
Created by Philippe Rouchier, a French artist working in cinema, the deck blends traditional tarot archetypes with mysterious architectural and surreal forms: gates, labyrinths, monoliths, and altars.

🔹 Cards bilingual: French & English titles.
🔹 Includes an 85-page booklet in French (L’Œil de Myrddin ou Tarot des Princes).

In the early 2000s, Lo Scarabeo collaborated with Fabbri Editori to reprint this masterpiece as part of a prestigious collector’s series of rare and classic decks.
Unlike the Marseille Tarot, this deck follows a distinct Italian school of design and symbolism, rooted in the work of Fernando Gumppenberg, a Milanese cardmaker of German origin active in the early 19th century. The result is a tarot that blends historic elegance, vivid illustration, and a unique iconographic tradition that stands apart from other European tarots.

A sensual and provocative collector’s deck exploring love, desire, and human intimacy through the lens of Giacomo Casanova’s Venice. The Minchiate Florentinas (pronounced mine-kia-té) is one of the most unique and fascinating decks ever to emerge from the centuries-old Tarot tradition. Originally designed in Florence at the end of the 15th century, this rare deck differs from the classic tarot structure, containing 97 cards instead of the traditional 78.
The Minchiate is composed of 41 Major Arcana, which include the 12 zodiac signs, the 4 elements, the 3 theological virtues (Faith, Hope, Charity), and Prudence, along with the traditional arcana (though the first six cards from Bateleur to Lover are replaced by Popes).
Because the Minchiate was not prohibited by the clergy (unlike classic tarot), it survived as both a game and an esoteric tool, carrying a unique mystery about its possible occult uses.
🔹 Publisher: Orbis Fabbri
🔹 Edition date: 2000
🔹 Number of cards: 97
🔹 Dimensions: approx. 6 × 12 cm
🔹 Condition: Cards are BRAND NEW!
The opened deck pictures here is my own copy, yours will be unopened.
Box shows signs of wear due to storage (see photos).
🪶 Collector’s Note
The Minchiate Florentine stands among the most elaborate and intellectually rich tarot systems ever conceived. Its 97 cards bridge Renaissance philosophy, astrology, and mysticism — a mirror of Florence’s humanist spirit at the dawn of the 16th century.
Many mysteries still remain as to the "occult" use of this game. Indeed, the classic tarots were prohibited by the clergy, but not the game of Minchiate, as attested by an edict of 1477. Because games of chance were prohibited, as were the strange divinatory uses of tarots ...
This Orbis–Fabbri edition (2000) faithfully reproduces the original engravings in soft, antique tones, preserving the elegance of the early Italian decks while remaining accessible for both collectors and readers.
Every card in The Secret Tarot has its own soul and a voice that whispers forgotten things to the hearts of all who will listen. With images reminiscent of everything from Lord Byron to Mad Max, the ancient archetypes are dressed in new clothes.
These cards represent the journey along an esoteric path leading to the understanding of secrets from the past, present, and future.
There is some nudity.

Published in Italy in 1981, this striking tarot deck is a hidden gem for collectors.
Known as Gli Antichi Tarocchi (The Ancient Tarot), it is sometimes referred to by enthusiasts as the Glass Tarot due to its luminous artwork. Each image is created in a mosaic / stained-glass style, with bold outlines and rich jewel-like colors that give the impression of medieval windows brought to life.
Unlike many decks of its era that followed the classic Tarot de Marseille or Rider-Waite pattern, this edition took a bold artistic direction:
The Major Arcana are illustrated with powerful stylized figures, their faces and forms resembling ancient sculptures or Byzantine mosaics.
The Minor Arcana are equally detailed, with both pips and illustrated scenes reflecting the same stained-glass inspiration.
What makes this set especially impressive is its large card size (12 × 17 cm), making every card feel like a miniature artwork, almost like holding a painted panel in your hands. Because of its unusual format and distinctive style, it was never mass-produced in large numbers, which explains why it is today considered very rare and highly desirable among tarot collectors.
🔹 Complete deck of 78 cards
🔹 Oversized format: approx. 12 × 17 cm
🔹 Published in Italy, 1981
🔹 Unique stained-glass inspired artwork
🔹 Box shows wear from age and storage (as pictured)
🔹 Cards in very good condition, except for a couple with minor signs of use
🪶 Collector’s Note
Gli Antichi Tarocchi occupies a unique place in late-20th-century tarot production. Its stained-glass aesthetic, oversized format, and departure from canonical tarot systems make it a standout among Italian decks of the period. Complete sets with original box are increasingly scarce and highly sought after by serious tarot collectors.

Scapini decks from the 1980s–1990s have become increasingly sought after due to their ornate detail and limited availability. This edition — complete with its original packaging and booklet — is particularly desirable for collectors of Italian tarocchi and literary-themed decks.
The initiatory tarot of the masters is a tarot of 22 blades, published in 1997. This game, with a very strong symbolic connotation, is inspired both by Genesis, the Koran, the Bible, Kabbalah, alchemy and the Apocalypse of Saint John.

A refined reproduction of one of the most enigmatic masterpieces of the Italian Renaissance, the Mantegna Tarot (Lo Scarabeo, 2000) presents 75 cards inspired by the famous 1470 engravings traditionally linked to Andrea Mantegna but now attributed to Michele Parrasio of Ferrara.
Far from a traditional tarot, this deck is a visual encyclopedia of medieval and Renaissance thought: human conditions, arts, sciences, virtues, celestial spheres, and divine principles.
Lo Scarabeo’s edition includes the original 50 symbolic plates plus 25 additional cards, expanding the system for meditation and divination.
🔹 Publisher: Lo Scarabeo

Early Lo Scarabeo editions of the Mantegna Tarot have become increasingly rare, especially complete with booklet. Printed for only a short period, this edition preserves the delicate Renaissance engravings and includes the distinctive 25-card expansion available only in early Scarabeo printings.
Because production numbers were limited, well-kept sets like this one are now scarce and highly valued by collectors of historical and artistic divinatory decks.

This historically themed Tarot de la Révolution, published in 1989 by Héron, is a unique artistic interpretation of the French Revolution. The four suits are represented by powerful emblems of the era — Sacred Heart of the Chouans, Tricolour Flag, Phrygian Cap, and Royal Fleur-de-Lys — creating a deck rooted in both symbolism and French historical identity.
Illustrated by Hélène Bouboulis using pen drawings colored with ink and watercolor, this deck blends simplicity, artistic charm, and cultural significance.

This unusual and highly collectible Tarot was inspired by Paracelsus (1493–1541), the famous Swiss physician, surgeon, philosopher, astrologer, and alchemist of the Renaissance. Considered one of the founders of modern medicine, Paracelsus sought to unite science, nature, and esoteric wisdom.
The imagery of the deck draws inspiration from alchemical traditions and the celebrated illustrations of the Splendor Solis, one of the most beautiful alchemical manuscripts ever produced. The result is a unique Tarot that bridges mystical symbolism, Renaissance philosophy, and hermetic teachings.
Published by the respected Italian publisher Antonio Delfino Editore, this edition has long been out of print and is rarely encountered on the collector's market.
Perfect for collectors of rare Tarots, alchemy enthusiasts, historians of Western esotericism, and lovers of unusual European Tarot decks.
🪶 Collector's Note:
A scarce Italian Tarot dedicated to one of the most influential alchemists of the Renaissance. Large-format cards, distinctive artwork, and limited availability make this a desirable addition to any serious Tarot or occult collection.

A striking and highly unconventional tarot, the Tarot de Louttre B stands as one of the most distinctive artistic decks of the late 20th century.
Created by Louttre B (Marc-Antoine Bissière), this deck was produced in 1981 in collaboration with Grimaud for the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, marking the opening of the exhibition:
“Cartes à jouer anciennes, un rêve de collectionneurs.”
Minimalist, raw, and deliberately unfinished in appearance, this tarot strips the Marseille tradition down to its pure symbolic essence — removing human figures entirely and focusing on structure, rhythm, and form.

Reviewed by Rachel Pollack in The New Tarot (1990), this deck is recognized for its radical departure from traditional tarot systems:
“The sparseness in the deck makes the details constantly suggestive.”
Its intentional simplicity places it at the opposite end of richly illustrated modern decks — offering instead a quiet, intellectual, and deeply interpretative experience.
Rarely seen complete with its original packaging, this is a museum-linked tarot artifact, highly sought after by collectors.

💡📚 Claves y Secretos del Tarot, launched in Spain by Salvat in 2003, was a serialized collection combining tarot knowledge with collectible decks. Sold weekly in kiosks, each fascicle offered lessons on spreads, archetypes, and history, along with a themed tarot deck inspired by art, history, or mythology. It stands today as one of the most ambitious tarot collectible series ever published.
A very beautiful and cultural tarot, this deck reveals the richness of ancient Native American traditions, their colonies, and their history in great detail. Each of the arcana is fused with soft earth tones, carrying a deep emotional and spiritual resonance. The result is a tarot that is not only elegant, but also highly inspiring.
This fascinating Native American Tarot, published in Italy by Lo Scarabeo, is inspired by shamanism, spirituality, and the connection with the natural world. The artwork, created by Sergio Tisselli (the same artist behind the Vikings Tarot), has a fine, ethereal quality, while remaining grounded in depictions of nature. His skillful use of muted, dusty colors makes the cards feel both timeless and evocative—sometimes highly detailed, other times softened with a hazy watercolor effect.
