1880 GRAND JEU DE Mlle LENORMAND - 1880 Astro Mythological

Very Rare and hard to find piece of 54 large cards in its original box + its booklet of the GRAND JEU of the famous MADEMOISELLE LENORMAND by CARTOMANCIE GRIMAUD made in FRANCE in 1880 - 1890!

Cards look unused in original packaging and complete with instruction booklet.
It has square corners and the cards are very thick.
Complete deck of 54 illustrated cards with an instruction booklet in French.

Box is showing some signs of wear as pictured. Top and Bottom are missing.

First published in 1845, two years after the death of Mlle Le Normand, this 54-card fortune-telling deck includes two consultant cards. The card images include references to Greek mythology, alchemy, allegories, and other astrological and mythological topics. 

Tax stamp on Ace of Clubs. “This stamp was in use in France from 1880 to 1917, The text is 'RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE' and 'DÉCRET DU 12 AVRIL 1880'"
