La Sibylle des Salons – 1980s Dusserre Deluxe box Set - VERY RARE -

53 beautiful 8×12 cm cards, thick cardboard, square corners. Not Used; like new.

Grandville's illustrations (from the 19th century) are superbly reproduced in this facsimile where all 53 cards appear in a large format 12cm high by 8cm wide, drawn from the originals kept at the National Library of France.

Published by Dusserre in the 1980s, this rare and "deluxe" edition, without comparison with the other reproductions available today, has been out of print for many years. This oracle offers 53 cards instead of 52, the added card, "the Sibyl of the Salons", is generally intended to be used as a "consultant's" card.

Very different from the "petit lenormand", the illustrations cover a wider spectrum of people, activities, events, etc... in the dramatic and funny style of the great illustrator.

The faces of the cards are laminated.

The case shows some signs of wear as pictured but the cards are in perfect condition. THIS SET IS EXTREMELY RARE!
