Historical Tarot 1860 J. Gaudais - Ancient Tarot Deck

Rare historical reproduction of the Tarot 1860 by J. Gaudais, beautifully published by Naipes Heraclio Fournier. This elegant deck is a faithful replica of a 19th-century tarot originally printed in Paris, France, in 1860. Featuring reversible figures and stencil-colored cards, it blends Victorian French aesthetics with esoteric symbolism.

Unlike modern Marseille decks, this version replaces the traditional High Priestess and Pope with Junon and Jupiter on Arcana II and V. The Ace of Cups bears the original Parisian maker’s name and address: J. Gaudais, 20 Rue de la Banque, Paris.

This edition, now out of print, was curated by the Fournier Museum of Playing Cards (Vitoria, Spain), where the original resides. A collector’s gem for fans of antique tarot, historical divination, and Marseille-style decks.
