Romantic Opera Card Games - Double Deck Heron

Romantic opera originated in Germany and Italy in the early 19th century. Early exponents included Donizetti, Bellini and Rossini. In France, Romantic operas by Giacomo Meyerbeer (Les Huguenots and Robert le Diable), Luigi Cherubini (Ali-Baba), and Daniel Auber (Gustave III) all had their first performances at the Paris Opera between 1830 and 1840. 
Costumes from these operas are reproduced on the court cards and Jokers in this pack, with the name of the character given at the top of each card. 

The operas featured are “Les Huguenots” and “Robert le Diable” by Meyerbeer, “Ali-Baba” by Cherubini, and “Gustave III” by Auber. 

Each deck has 52 suited cards, plus 2 Jokers, plus 1 extra card with a brief general description of what is depicted on the cards. 
The cards are wide, measuring 88mm x 63mm, and come in the original box.
Condition: Box is showing few signs of wear due to storage as pictured. Cards are in Very good condition.
