The deck is inspired by the legendary world of the medieval Sri Lankan king Nissanka, presented here as a ruler gifted with clairvoyance and guided by a magical book given to him by the magician Shandra.
The deck contains 78 cards, with imagery inspired by Sri Lankan culture, legend and symbolism. Color plays a central role in Maria Mestre’s distinctive artwork, creating a highly original tarot quite different from traditional European systems.
