The Tarokado is the result of four years of artistic, poetic and intuitive exploration of the Tarot. Cadot reimagines the traditional system as a dreamlike labyrinth in which every card becomes a doorway into the imagination.
Complete deck of 78 cards: 22 Major Arcana reproduced from large original oil paintings and 56 Minor Arcana based on detailed black-and-white drawings. The original works were created between 1986 and 1990.
The traditional suits are reinvented as Soleils (Suns), Lunes (Moons), Étoiles (Stars) and Terres (Earth).

The Tarokado is a particularly unusual late-20th-century tarot, notable for its large-format cards and Robert Cadot’s highly personal artwork. Published in French Canada in 1997, it had relatively limited circulation and is now seldom encountered complete with its original box and instruction booklet, making it an appealing piece for collectors of rare and independently conceived tarot decks.
