25 cards Tarot wich harmonize between them to create an infinity of pictures.
VIA VITAE is also an original cardgame for 2 players.
Each card is an work of art specially performed by Dominique Ehrhard, Art painter and game designer.
In the box, a 24 pages booklet present various artist's works.
Dominique Ehrhard (born March 5, 1958) is a French game designer, artist, and writer of children's books from France. In 1986 he moved to Orléans and then to Meung-sur-Loire where he divides his time between painting, teaching, creating games and illustrating books. He created Via Vitae in 2004.
From the rulebook :
VIA VITAE is published by Edition Face & Dos and the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux with the support of Incredible Toys.
It was a game specially created for an exposure about Dominique Ehrhard and his works of art called "The exposure where you play, paintings and games of Dominique Ehrhard", from 8th december 2004 to 13th february 2005 at the French Museum of the Playing Card (city of Issy-les-Moulineaux).
The game runs 2 rounds. Biggest score at the end of the second round wins.
Each round plays in the same way. A player lay a card face up, the other player must answers to this card by playing a card with the same color or the same symbol. The player who can't answers to the card played by his opponent lose the round.
Each card show a number from 1 to 5 under its colored symbol.
This number is the strength of the card. The player who plays the strongest card, continues and plays first with another card which calls another answer card...etc.
Paintings on cards have no influence on the game but show life line (via vitae) of players...
Cards and booklet with instructions in French are in perfect condition. Out of Print /Discontinued. Rare collectible oracle deck.

Discover a unique divinatory tarot, official adaptation of the Vampyria saga, by Victor Dixen.
“Reader, reader, you hold in your hands the Forbidden Tarot, centerpiece of the eternal battle between Light and Darkness, which extends into all worlds. This card game, banned by the King of vampyres, is a great tool for everyday life. Every path we take brings us closer to the Light or further away from it. Sometimes it is our own Darkness that must be faced in order to move forward. All this I will teach you here…”
The Eye of the Innocents.
Imagined by Victor Dixen, multi-award-winning novelist passionate about tarot, and Emmanuelle Iger, renowned tarologist, the Forbidden Tarot is aimed at both beginners and experts in the divinatory arts. These 86 cards, magnificently illustrated by Nicolas Jamonneau, reinterpret the ancestral structure of the Tarot de Marseille by drawing from the rich universe of baroque fantasy of the Vampyria saga (novels published by Robert Laffont).
The major mysteries of the Forbidden Tarot depict the legendary figure of the vampire, both fascinating and disturbing. The Minor Arcana celebrate human diversity through the army of vampire hunters.
The tarot is accompanied by a 96-page booklet to learn how to make your own prints and light your way, whether you have already read the novels or not.

An exceptionally rare 19th-century magnetic fortune-telling game, L’Oiseau Bleu, published by the famous Parisian game maker L. Saussine. Produced between 1870 and 1900, this magnificent set is over 120–150 years old and represents one of the earliest French mechanical divination devices.
This luxurious fortune-telling box features a magnetic pointer (the Hand) mounted under glass, designed to turn and stop in front of one of the 8 small decorated boxes, each containing printed answer slips. By placing one of the two question palettes in the centre—each divided into thematic questions—the magnet hidden inside triggers the mechanism, allowing the Hand to reveal the answer.
This game is based on the 1870 patent filed by Léon Saussine, and Saussine presented similar mechanical divination games at the Exposition Universelle of 1878.
The artwork on the lid—signed by Ludovic—depicts a magician revealing the future to members of a royal-style court. The interior is beautifully decorated with chromolithographed floral motifs, making this a highly desirable display piece.
Despite its age, the set is complete with:
– The original magnetic palette (question wheel)
– 8 original small boxes (matchbox style)
– All printed answer cards (6 per box)
– Original illustrated lid and decorated base
A superb and extremely rare example of 19th-century French parlour divination.
