This Egyptian Tarot (also known as Nefertari Tarot) was first published by Silvana Alasia in 1998 and re-published by Lo Scarabeo in 2001. The famou Nefertari was known as the bride of Ramses II, Pharaoh of the XIX dynasty in ancient Egypt.

The tarot deck named for her is, of course, Egyptian in art and symbology. It is a 78 card deck, and has scenes on all cards, not only the major arcana. This deck is also the luxury version of the Tarot of the Sphinx.
Both decks by Silvana Alasia have the same ancient-looking artwork, but differ in base colours. The Sphinx deck uses blue borders and a white scene background; Nefertari's has black borders and gold foil instead. The effect of all the textured gold foil is very visually sumptuous. The aged-look Egyptian people and scenery evoke the mystery and luxury of life in the height of civilised Egypt.

This series published classic decks such as The Mantegna Tarot, as well as other original decks created by renowned artists. The result was a series of iconic, high-quality, collectible tarot decks. Most of these decks are out of print and are rare to find.

This tarot deck was drawn by Niki de Saint Phalle. A booklet is included with the artists’ interpretation of each of the 22 major arcana, which are also structurally represented in the Tarot Garden in Tuscany, Italy.

Inspired by Antoni Gaudi's Parc Güell in Barcelona and the mannerist Bomarzo Park, Niki de Saint Phalle created her sculpture park in Garavicchio, in the southernmost part of Tuscany. In this vast garden, the 22 cards of the tarot's Major Arcana are represented in the form of enormous sculptures, 12 to 15 metres high, made of painted polyester and reinforced concrete, and covered in mosaics, mirrors, multicoloured ceramics and coloured Murano glass.

At the end of the 1970s, after her Nouveau Réalisme years of revolt and the more feminist period of the "Nanas", Niki de Saint Phalle created the fairy world of her Tarot Garden at Garavicchio. This enchanted world was, for her, the ultimate achievement of her oeuvre, its culmination. When she died in 2002, she left the Tarot Garden uncompleted.

This rare Divinatory Tarot is an obscure and enigmatic French tarot deck, attributed on the box to a name appearing as “Bleunven” (the exact spelling remains uncertain due to age and typography). 

Produced as a small or private edition, this tarot stands apart from mainstream decks. The artwork is rendered in black line illustrations, evoking medieval and esoteric manuscript traditions rather than the colorful iconography of standard tarot. Each card is accompanied by handwritten-style interpretive texts, reflecting a personal and introspective approach to cartomancy.

The original cardboard box bears the title “Tarot divinatoire … et la manière de s’en servir” (“Divinatory Tarot… and how to use it”), reinforcing its practical occult purpose. Inside, the deck includes manuscript-style instruction sheets, offering meanings for upright and reversed cards and guidance on how to consult the tarot.

This 2002 edition has become increasingly sought-after among Lo Scarabeo collectors.
Its combination of mythological storytelling and expressive artwork makes it one of the most distinctive themed decks from the early 2000s. Complete boxed sets with the original French booklet are not easy to find.

This is by far my favorite tarot as a collector and an incredible tool for divination... A very special tarot...but it's becoming very hard to find.
