The deck contains the complete set of 80 cards (78 traditional arcana plus 2 additional cards), printed in a large format (78 × 120 mm) on very thick cardstock with square corners, exactly as intended for study and ritual use. The Oswald Wirth Tarot occupies a special place in tarot history because it bridges the gap between the traditional Tarot of Marseille and the French occult revival of the late nineteenth century.

Wirth collaborated with influential occult circles and drew inspiration from the teachings of Stanislas de Guaita, one of the leading figures of French esotericism. His deck transformed the tarot into a symbolic system intended not only for divination but also for philosophical and spiritual study.

The 1982 U.S. Games edition is particularly desirable because it represents one of the earliest American publications authorized by Wirth's successors. At a time when historical tarot decks were still largely unknown outside Europe, this edition introduced English-speaking collectors to one of the most respected decks in occult literature.

Today, early U.S. Games examples—especially factory-sealed copies—have become increasingly difficult to locate. Their historical importance and limited availability continue to make them highly sought after by collectors worldwide.

This is a rare facsimile reproduction of the Tarot de Paris, one of the earliest known complete tarot decks, originally created between 1600 and 1650. Published in 1984 by André Dimanche in collaboration with Société Le Jeu de Marseille, with cards manufactured by Grimaud, this edition faithfully preserves the original deck held in the Bibliothèque Nationale de Paris.

About the Tarocchi di Vetro

Inspired by the beauty of stained glass, medieval craftsmanship, and Art Nouveau aesthetics, the Tarocchi di Vetro is widely regarded as one of the most elegant tarot decks produced during Lo Scarabeo's formative years.

Published during the boom of French magazine-distributed divination decks in the early 2000s, Le Grand Tarot d'Isis combines Egyptian-inspired artwork with simple and accessible cartomancy methods. The Maddonni Tarot is a mysterious French tarot. Card scenes are set against white backgrounds, and the artist's style is unique and interestingly textured.
In 1981, Maddonni designed this wonderful set of tarot cards, and it bears her name and has her distinctive style.

The art is attractive and unconventional, body proportions are not respected which gives the deck a very distinctive style.
