The cards are from the Tarot of the Old Path by Sylvia Gainsford & Howard Rodway, but issued as a 22-card Major Arcana-only promotional edition by the Italian magazine Astrella, under the title "I Tarocchi dell'Amore".
The photos show:
🔹 Complete 22 Major Arcana
🔹 No box present (at least not shown)
🔹 Heavy use and numerous creases throughout the deck
🔹 One card with a significant corner loss (Il Matto)
🔹 Edge wear and handling marks on most cards
🔹 Original Astrella card back design
Because it is a magazine-issued version rather than the standard AGM/U.S. Games edition, it has collector interest despite the condition.
🪶 Collector's Note
Unlike the standard commercial edition of the Tarot of the Old Path, this scarce Italian release was distributed as a magazine supplement by Astrella under the title I Tarocchi dell'Amore. Containing only the 22 Major Arcana, it represents an unusual and seldom-seen variant of one of the most beloved Pagan-themed tarot decks of the late twentieth century. Despite evident wear from use, complete examples remain difficult to find today.
€39.00 EUR

About This Edition
Unlike ordinary tarot decks, this set was created as a cultural and artistic object linked to a unique immersive performance exploring the symbolism of the Major Arcana. Visitors to Forte Sperone encountered actors embodying each archetype of the tarot in a dramatic journey through the historic fortress.
The reported limitation to just 27 copies suggests that this edition may have been reserved for collaborators, sponsors, or a very small circle of participants, making it extraordinarily scarce.
🪶 Collector’s Note
A truly exceptional piece at the crossroads of tarot history, Italian theater, and fine art. Combining the visionary world of Emanuele Luzzati with the experimental spirit of Teatro della Tosse, this complete 1991 set stands among the rarest and most unusual tarot-related artifacts to surface on the market.
For collectors of Emanuele Luzzati, theatrical ephemera, and historically significant tarot editions, this is a museum-worthy acquisition.

Step into the psychedelic mysticism of the early 1970s with the Starmaiden Tarot, a visually striking and highly symbolic deck born from the avant-garde circles of German producer Rolf-Ulrich Kaiser.
Deeply influenced by the counterculture era, cosmic consciousness, and esoteric exploration, this deck embodies the spirit of a time when music, mysticism, and altered states of perception merged into a single artistic language.
Created around the enigmatic figure of “The Starmaiden” — inspired by Gille Lettmann — the deck channels celestial femininity, intuition, and higher awareness through bold, radiant imagery reminiscent of underground magazines and glam-era aesthetics. Think Bowie meets cosmic tarot.
This edition is a faithful facsimile reproduction printed in France, preserving the vivid colors and hypnotic geometry of the original 1970s Sternenmädchens Wahrsagespiel.

Promotional tarot decks created for alcohol brands are exceptionally uncommon.
This Drambuie Rusty Nail tarot deck is a fascinating crossover between the world of tarot symbolism and vintage liquor advertising.
Drambuie — a historic Scottish liqueur made from Scotch whisky, honey, herbs, and spices — popularized the cocktail Rusty Nail, especially during the mid-20th century. Promotional items linked to this drink became collectible bar memorabilia.

Its limited production, oversized format, and niche crossover appeal make it increasingly difficult to find in complete condition.

This charming miniature deck contains the 22 Major Arcana, illustrated in a colorful, playful, almost circus-inspired style reminiscent of classic Marseille imagery—but with a bold, modern twist.
Originally distributed as a limited bonus with the French edition of Cosmopolitan, this tarot was never sold in stores and quickly disappeared from circulation.

Les trésors du tarot is a seminal French esoteric work exploring the Tarot as a cosmic and initiatory system rather than a simple divinatory tool. Written by Nicolas Tereshchenko and published by Éditions Atlas / Guy Trédaniel, this book offers a deep philosophical, symbolic, and numerological study of the Tarot.
What makes this edition particularly desirable is the inclusion of a separate 23-card Major Arcana deck, specially created for this work in 1979. These cards, often referred to as the Tarot de Cosmos, extend the traditional 22 Major Arcana with an additional cosmic archetype, reinforcing the book’s metaphysical scope.

This edition is increasingly difficult to find complete with the original 23-card Tarot de Cosmos deck, which was often separated from the book over time. The combination of scholarly depth and a unique supplementary tarot makes this set especially appealing to advanced collectors of esoteric literature and non-standard tarot systems. A true bridge between tarot scholarship and metaphysical art.

The Tarot du Kebar is far more than a tarot deck — it is a powerful contemporary art object, born from the collaboration between a visual artist, a poet, and a jazz musician. Published in 2019, this unique tarot consists of 22 Major Arcana, conceived as a poetic and symbolic journey rather than a conventional divinatory tool.
Each card presents a fragmented, expressive composition paired with a short poetic text (stance) that distills the essence of the arcane. The reading unfolds in two stages — first through the image, then through the text — creating an experience reminiscent of the I Ching, where intuition and layered interpretation are central.
The origami-inspired box is an integral part of the artwork. It unfolds like a bird when opened and resists being closed — a deliberate and symbolic design choice echoing the complexity of the questions posed to the cards.
This tarot appeals equally to collectors, art lovers, and experienced readers seeking a radical, introspective, and non-traditional tarot experience.

Le Tarot Mystique is a rare and deeply symbolic tarot deck created and painted by Alexandre Mourouzi, a singular figure in late-20th-century Swiss tarot art. Conceived in 1978 and published in 1983 by Samjac SA (Lausanne), this deck stands apart for its introspective, spiritual, and highly artistic approach.
Unlike standard 78-card tarot decks, Le Tarot Mystique focuses exclusively on the 22 Major Arcana, presented as an initiatory path structured into three successive cycles of evolution. Each card represents a stage of inner transformation, blending universal symbolism, spiritual philosophy, and Mourouzi’s distinctive painterly language.
Hand-painted artwork gives the deck a meditative, sometimes unsettling atmosphere, far removed from traditional Tarot de Marseille iconography. This is a tarot designed not for fortune-telling alone, but for contemplation, psychological exploration, and symbolic study.
This copy belongs to the first limited edition, numbered and hand-signed by the artist, with a total print run of 2,000 copies only—now scarce on the collector’s market, especially when complete.

Le Tarot Mystique is now regarded as one of the most important Swiss artistic tarot decks of the 20th century. Alexandre Mourouzi’s work bridges tarot symbolism, psychology, and contemporary art, reflecting the spiritual experimentation of the late 1970s.
Most copies have vanished from circulation over time, and complete, signed, and numbered examples are increasingly difficult to find. The presence of the original multilingual booklet and the signed numbering card significantly enhances the desirability of this set.

This rare Divinatory Tarot is an obscure and enigmatic French tarot deck, attributed on the box to a name appearing as “Bleunven” (the exact spelling remains uncertain due to age and typography).
Produced as a small or private edition, this tarot stands apart from mainstream decks. The artwork is rendered in black line illustrations, evoking medieval and esoteric manuscript traditions rather than the colorful iconography of standard tarot. Each card is accompanied by handwritten-style interpretive texts, reflecting a personal and introspective approach to cartomancy.
The original cardboard box bears the title “Tarot divinatoire … et la manière de s’en servir” (“Divinatory Tarot… and how to use it”), reinforcing its practical occult purpose. Inside, the deck includes manuscript-style instruction sheets, offering meanings for upright and reversed cards and guidance on how to consult the tarot.
No reliable bibliographic or publishing records have been found for this deck or its attributed creator, suggesting a private, artisanal, or very limited production, likely dating from the mid-20th century.
This is an original vintage set, not a reproduction.

🪶 Collector’s Note
This divinatory tarot is particularly notable for its dual-card system: each Major Arcana is paired with a dedicated explanatory card, creating a complete 44-card working oracle rather than a simple symbolic deck. This pedagogical structure strongly suggests use as a teaching or initiatory tarot, intended to guide the reader step by step through interpretation.
Such formats are typical of private French occult productions from the mid-20th century, often created outside commercial publishing circuits. Complete sets retaining all explanatory cards, original box, and instruction sheets are extremely rare, making this an exceptional piece for advanced tarot collectors and researchers.

Tarocco della Musica – Edizione Speciale is a rare and refined tarot deck that unites the symbolic language of the Tarot with the timeless world of classical music.
Published in 1981 as a limited special edition, this deck features 22 Major Arcana inspired by great composers and masterpieces of classical music, opera, and ballet. Each card evokes a musical universe, translating harmony, rhythm, drama, and emotion into visual archetypes.
The artwork was created by Master Menegazzi, whose illustrations combine classical aesthetics with tarot symbolism, making this deck both intellectually rich and visually elegant.

🪶 Collector’s Note

This VERY RARE is a very unusual and powerful tarot deck. The imagery is strong and disturbing. It is not a deck that one could readily see being used for readings. Instead, the artist uses the tarot form to explore images that are both disturbing and at the same time so beautifully crafted that they engage us and perhaps this is the nature of the alchemical wedding which he is inviting us to join.
This has been created using computer graphic collage of astounding quality. The bodies of many of the figures in this tarot are rendered or textured in a wonderful way with repetitive mathematical patterns, while the backgrounds often incorporate fractal imagery from Mandelbrot sets. It is in a monotone sepia, and on first glance one could be drawn to describe this as a 'Gothic' deck, however, its imagery, though strong and dark, does not draw especially from death or horror images, but incorporates sexuality, magical symbolism, and alchemical emblematic forms.
This is a deck for serious collectors of tarot, and, I suspect, not for people wanting a deck to use for readings.

A true gem of tarot history, this deck stands as a testimony to the meeting of esoteric philosophy and artistic expression.
Published in 1979, this highly symbolic and visionary work consists of 22 oversized prints (37 × 17 cm) accompanied by several explanatory pages. The images, in stunning black-and-white, blend oriental inspiration with archetypal power. Figures reminiscent of Buddha embody the Supreme Nameless Being, manifested through unique archetypes adapted for seekers on the lower planes of existence.
Each card has been renamed to reflect the inner system at the heart of this deck, diverging from the traditional tarot structure. The results are not only visually captivating but also spiritually profound.
Referenced in Kaplan’s Encyclopedia of Tarot, Vol. III (1985), this deck is considered one of the rarest and most intriguing esoteric tarots ever created.
